It had been a few hours since they struck off from Kilan, the plains about which Kilan was had the patches of trees and the going was good. As they went father south, the woods became more common and the ground became more of the short grass they were familiar to up north underneath the shaded cover.

Only once did they come across any real danger, something large and shadowy in the trees stalked them for half a click before it decided against it, much to the relief of the soldiers. Terith had kept to keeping to bits of conversation with Eilan, but when it was recomended for silence he kept quiet. It was not long after the fourth hour that they finally came into view of a thicker set of vegatation. No one was about, but there was an artifical opening between the brush walls.

South and to the west, actually. And more west than south. South was where the Bealing village would be, on the coast, but it was the Cooaneian village which Eilan was taking them to see. A place nearest to the healing grove, a village enveloped in healing and medicine.

True, they'd run into a bit of trouble on the way, but Eilan had managed to steer them away from or around most of the trouble. And so they were nearing the village, though Eilan paused just at the brush wall, head tilting in a confused manner. With a faint motion back to the group, for them to wait, she'd step forward to carefully examine both walls and opening.

"This wasn't here, the last time... This is the path we always take, to get to the village. I wonder if we took a wrong turn somewhere.." She murmured softly, winged ears lifting, and turning outward to allow her to listen carefully whilst examining the brush walls.

A soft rustling would be her first and only warning, amidst the brush wall to her left. Standing up straight, and frowning softly, she moves closer to the wall at faint speech amidst the rustling.

"Alright.. Come on out of there, now. It's alright, see? I'm traveling with them, so they aren't dangerous-- Who's in there, exactly? Torah? Melix?" She asks, whilst extending her arms into the brush to part it. An awkward glance is given over her shoulder, to the group. "I'm sorry-- It must be the children, they sometimes like to play during herb gatherINGS--!"

The last portion yelped, jarred from her throat, Eilan had been yanked into the brush! The artificial opening quivered before them, threatening to cave inward and trap the group outside as a high-pitched screeching and rustling emerged from the clearing. Where, inside, three or four Phosynthian warriors stood, still rooted within their petals, with poison-spiked fingertips, at least twelve inches long and resembling needles, raised and poised in anger and defense. A female, larger than the three males, was the one who had Eilan by the arms using her roots, elongated and flowered face with glowing green eyes pushed up nearest Eilan's.

"Intruderssss! Interloperssss! Whaaaat bringsss you here? Followed usss from the grey ssssoilsss?" She hissed harshly, flipping Eilan over to hold her by an ankle, instead, holding her out as Eilan screeched harshly and swiped at the face of the Phosynthian with her claws.

Terith at first had simply figured she hadn't been around in the area in a while, which was understandable. As the Phosynthian appeared however, weapons were drawn and shields put towards them. Two of the soldiers pulled out a dozen small metallic balls with a strange glowing pink run etched on one side.

Xeria, the commander of the squad, stepped forth and hissed. "Interlopers? You wretched creatures do not hold good will for -any- who wish to survive in the climates of the north. Now put her down, or we shall deal with you like we dealt with you in the lands of the grey soil!" Her own blade shimmered in it's red runic designs, and the edge began to give off a noticeable heat. Terith himself had been looking to the brush left and right of them. The path was wide enough to where there was a good couple feet between them and the road, but it was better to be safe then sorry.

At this show of defense and offense, the male warriors screeched horribly and leaned forward, but were rooted to the spot in the middle of large green petals. They were under-developed, obviously, but were full-fledged enough to be able to swing those poisonous limbs at the group despite the distance.

The female, however, was more than able to move. Fully fledged, perhaps even elder, which would explain her size, she stepped further into the grove and whipped Eilan around like a ragdoll, who frantically slashed at the Phosynthian every time she came close.

"The nooooorth? THE NOOOOORTH?!" She tosses her head back, screeching in a shrill, emotional way, "We do not come from the nooooorth! From the midlaaaandsssss, your corruption reachesssss even there! Your ccccccity sssspillsssss filth into the ssssssoil, turning it grey, and dead!" She throws her arms about while she speaks, emotion surging through every limb and root as they whip around, occasionally striking out at the group, "Weeee were ffffforced to leeeeeeave our hoooome becausssssse of you! We kept to oursssssselves, but were dyinggggg! You dare FOLLOW us, and BLAME ussssss?" She continues, before finally screeching in another wail as she drops Eilan - And almost like a hive-mind, the males behind her join in her enigmatic wailing.

Whether they were here because of pollution or something else, Phosynthian didn't belong down here. Eilan sure as hell wasn't going to let them make their territory so close to the village, either. With a sharp yelp upon hitting the ground, she'd immediately flip over and scramble up to her feet, a gust of air leaving in her wake as she quite literally launched herself at the Phosynthian broodmother, clawing and slashing wildly at the neck and chest while it was occupied. Elegant or not, there was a definite ferality present in Eilan's movements, despite being Avian.

"Throw 'em lads!" Xeria cried out, "Venncia Mundai!" At the spoken words their blades flashed and grew a fine edge of a magical red or purple, flickering in energy like a flame. The small balls, at thumbs pressing against the device and giving a noticable click, threw them towards the male plants. Small little pops followed in their wake, covering the plants in a grey-like substance that shimmered even in the shade. Xeria stepped up first and brought her blade down upon the beast, the connection of heat and grey dust causing it to flare a vibrant green. The heated blade continued through as the vibrant green dust sucked all the heat from the general area within two feet, and five of the soldiers charged up behind her to engage the 'mother' and the two other males.

Terith himself reached into his pack and pulled out several knives; broad and heavy looking, but also much more etched and dangerously unstable looking. He stood his ground, looking for an opening with the rearguard.

The flare of magic was impressive, and did catch the Phosynthian warriors by surprise. They screeched, flailing and screaming as they hastily brushed the Grey-like substance off, or at least tried to. After a moment the males would retreat into their petals, however, curling downward into balls as the large, leather-like petals folded up around them to form agitatedly squirming leafy pods.

The brood mother, having been initially attacked by Eilan, was bleeding heavily from the chest as a sticky clear blood of sorts spills from the open wounds on her chest. While the others attack, they'd find that thorned roots and vines whipped harshly at them, grabbing at limbs and swords and slashing wherever they could. Eventually Eilan had been ripped off, punctured through the leg with those poison-tipped fingers, before tossed away without another thought to land, once again, in some nearby bushes. The brood mother focused then on the group, stumbling backward and slashing, flailing furiously at them.

The shields were brought up, trying to repel the swirls of spikes and thorns as Terith stepped up, readying the knives. The cold powder had done it's work, and had been one of the quieter devices they brought. What he brought however, was no such thing. Two men broke off from the rearguard to rush to the Avian Cooanei's help, and one more solider cried out as the thorns punctured into his side. However, two of them got blows into the weakening creature, and Terith threw the blade in his hand hard. "Hey, planter!" It whistled through the air, glowing it's unstable dangerous red and aiming for her general body mass. If it would hit, it would be like a blazing hot knife through butter, landing behind her and hitting the dirt either or and glowing brighter and brighter before exploding, sending chunks of the dagger's red hot metal into the back of her. One of the men swore as shrapnel bounced off his shoulderguard, the thing seem to noticeably dim in the runic magics. Afterwards they would pull back, forming a shield wall and using their blades to deter the creature's swipes.

With another deafening screech, Terrinath's blade sliced cleanly through the brood mother, clear, sticky sap for blood splashing over the group. But she didn't stop as the two halves fell, nor did she stop when the metal shards sank into her body halves. Rather, she writhed and clawed her way back toward the group, thorned vines muffling the screeching as they surged forth from her neck, lashing out at the group's legs with poison tips, unlike the other thorns. The same for her bottom half, as well. Somehow, it continued to wobble around aimlessly, though the un-poisoned thorns thrashed violently and prevented the others from reaching the flowered legs to stop them.

"The head!" Eilan finally called, convulsing rigidly as the poison seeped from the wound in a show of 'glossy' blood, the same poison which no doubt coursed through her bloodstream. As she was removed from the bush by the pair who'd broken off from the battle, she struggled to keep from succumbing to the paralytic poison right away.

"The head! Cut off the head!"

A second soldier felt theirarmour breached by the ankle, but her comrades, grabbed onto her and kept her from getting dragged as a third dealt with the vine. The man on the far right threw a second volley of the power balls, flinging it at the body to freeze off and perhaps blind the creature for a moment. Xeria charged forth from the flanks, meeting to mettle with the beast as it sprung it's thorny vines forward at the larger threat.
She used the freezing form like a snakey staircase, bouncing off of it and driving her flaming sword down, shearing off half the head. Her blade would swing in fluid motion, meaning to take off the remaining half by decapitation.

With that, mighty Xeria had finished the brood mother. As the head was severed from the body half, the thorned roots and vines went rigid, before twitching erratically and falling still to the ground. Though the roots fell from the mouth of the brood mother, her face was stuck, contorted into an undeniable look of rage and sorrow.

The phosynthian warriors, sensing their brood mother's prescence gone, wailed from within their leafy pods, before the pods began to turn a deathly brown color, and wilt. Within moments they were nothing but piles of brown mushy mulch, returning to the earth from whence they had come as nourishment for the plants here.

Eilan, seeing the danger had passed, knew that since the Brood Mother had been dispatched, any who were linked to her would follow in the same manner which the warriors had. She could relax because of this fact.. And also, because the paralytic poison was forcing her to. She wasn't too worried about it, since she had only been stuck through her thigh - Though that was bleeding fairly badly. Normal Phosynthian tactic - Paralyze the prey, and present them to their brood mother for choice of death or judgment. Lucky that she was in the hands of allies, rather than that..

As the three afflicted besides Eilan fell over, Terith grumbled something about not needing Zairran before beginning his orders for getting the four together.

"And get me some of those thorns that are glistening, I want samples!" He turned his attention as Eilan was picked up carefully and set alongside the other three, Terith going over the man wound in the side while two others moved to apply first aid to the rest. After successfully wrapping up the chestpiece with cloth and applying coagulants, he then turned to Eilan's bloody thigh that was being treated. "Hmm, you know, do you happen to know how your body works at all?" Glancing at her face rather then expecting a reply. "As to this, looks like you'll be carried into the village."

Eilan was fine to wait until she was seen, knowing that besides loss of blood, her wounds weren't as bad as the others. They didn't have the same regeneration as she. So, when laid beside the injured, she smiles softly in a proud fashion at the other injured whilst Terith helps them.

"You all did so well, and without your machines.. Even though you did use devices. Thank you."

Though she said this, her face fell a moment after. A sluggish sigh is given, as she continues on to say, "I'm sorry, too. I should've been able to sense it was Phosynthian in the first place, we could have gone around."

It was about now that Terith moved to Eilan, and began bandaging her injured thigh. Though she couldn't move her head well, and certainly couldn't lift it, she was able to watch this from the corner of her eye. It looked painful, but thanks to the paralytic poison, she couldn't feel it. Silver lining!

"I know the Cooaneian people have enhanced regeneration, but you knew that, too, right?" She mentions, glancing upward, thoughtful.

"I also know the poison the Phosynthian use. Your people don't have much interaction with them aside from destroying them and their territories, but my village elder was able to talk to a Brood Mother just like the one we just fought. It was after a child was accidentally punctured and poisoned by an under-developed Phosynthian. He pleaded for an explanation to the poison in return for moving the village farther from the territory.. It's only Paralyzing."

Another pause is given, as she frowns softly down at Terith, "They don't kill their enemies initially, unless they're an immediate threat. They paralyze you, and bring you to their Brood Mother for judgment. To decide how you'll be killed. Humiliation, or no humiliation? Flaying, or no flaying? It's horrible." She explains, exhaling sharply as she closes her eyes.

"It's harmless, unless you're punctured somewhere on your torso. The poison will paralyze your heart or lungs within ten minutes--.."

Wait a minute. Didn't one of the soldiers..?

Startled, her expression changes to shock, as she struggles to lift her head from the ground. "--The village should be just past that cluster of boulders over there, about twenty yards. If you hurry, there are several healers available."

"Then let us move quickly." Terith nodded thankfully as Xeria. Truefully, it was one of the larger non-poisoned thorn that had thrusted into the man's side, and for that then was lucky. But he was still bleeding and with no Meigi around could not properly heal up the hole; to say the least the man would not be walking until it was seen to.

They took a minute as they unpacked from Terith's travel pack a roll of cloth, then moved about to cut two sturdy tree logs about the thickness of the wrist in the surrounding bush. Placing the man on it, the rest that were injured were able to limp past the pain as they walked towards the brush, getting support from their fellows. One of the younger woman was helping Eilan with her own problems by picking her up, abit unsteadily onto her backside.

Happy to let the more injured go first, Eilan would runt quietly as she was finally lifted to sit up. But as her entire body was currently paralyzed from the shoulders down, there wouldn't be any cooperation from her. Willingly she'd give it, if she could, but..

And, just as Eilan had said, the village was no more than some yards away, around the bend from the cluster of boulders. The trees had thinned out considerably here, and were in a more loose, clearing-like cluster between huts of a small, but potent village. Just by looking at it, a majority of the people were either elder or young children - And further, most were Avian. Those abled bodied which were present had spied the group coming from the brush, the scouts namely, shouting a warning to the rest of the village in foreign language. Groups split off, and herbal rendering ceased - Whilst most of the children and elders were ushered into their huts and homes, a rather old looking Avian woman rose from her point at the fire. As a blind, wrinkled hand reached out from her cool-colored and loose-hanging robes, her walking stick was handed to her, and a Feline Cooaneian male slipped his arm beneath her hand.

Another joined them, a delicate-looking Avian man wearing scholar's robes - Though don't be fooled by his delicate appearance, for magic sparked and gathered in his raised palms, precautionary as the three approached the group. The Feline was the first to speak - And his Conguran wasn't very well practiced, so it was with heavy accent.

"Stop wherre jhu arre! Take anotherr step, and he shall open fierre upon jhu! What brrings jhu to these villahge? We arre not keen to yourr warr machinesse, so--"

Thwap!

The elder's walking stick struck against the Feline's kneecaps, sending him into a tizzy as he hissed, reaching down to rub at his knees with a confused, apologetic expression toward the Avian elder woman. Though her eyes were closed, she nodded quietly at the group, and she spoke in a quiet tone, foreign language.

Eilan was just emerging, partially-dragged, but mostly carried by the younger woman who had helped her up. She appeared just in time to hear this, blinking softly as she meant to translate.

"Hush now, Feraligus. Can you not see they are injured? If they are standing before us, alive, they must have killed the plants, and freed our medicinal grove once more." Eilan looks toward Terith, up ahead, "That's what she said."

Xeria stepped forth, settling to one knee and bowing respectfully to the elder. "If you could, Eilan." She spoke, before going on. "It is not our intentions to bring our war machines here. We rather wish to expand further south, to seek both knowledge of the land, of the cultures surrounding it and exchange it for perhaps our humble means. Eilan has been generous in much of her heeds to our works, for we are but proud warriors and also peaceful settlers. We did not wish to disturb you, but we also know if connection was not established, our works to the north may have been seen as fully foul.

It is so we have destroyed the plant race that stood just before the entrance, and luckily with no dead; we do ask however of your healers, for ours was not intending for a fight of this kind to break forth."

With a hesitant pause here and there, as if to recall the proper word to use from language to language, Eilan did dutifully translate what Xeria said, as she spoke. The Elder Avian only nodded slowly, listening ever carefully to the explanation she was being given. Of course Feraligus was none happy about their presence still, but like the un-named Avian who kept his magic at back, remained silent in respect while in the Elder's presence.

After a long while of silence post-translation, the Elder Avian finally nods. Wilted feathered ears give a weak flap against snow-white braids tied back around the head, and she motions back toward the village while taking Feraligus' hand once more.

"We have heard only terrible things of people from the North. If what you say is true," Eilan translates once more with parting speech from the Elder, "we will give you a chance to redeem your reputations among the South lands. Turilan will see to your injured. He is the most adept at using magic in this village, and his healing magic will be quicker than manual remedies."

No doubt, Turilan was the elegant male Avian standing beside the Elder, as dictated by the brief nod he gave, despite a glowering glare to the group from beneath feathered bangs. He turns, exposed tail feathers giving a visual ruffle of irritation as he proceeds back to his hut for reagents.

"You will cohm to zhe Elderr hut." Not a choice, but an order, really. Feraligus turned to guide the Elder to her hut, the largest, widest hut in the center of the village.

Xeria nodded respectfully as she motioned for the rest of the troop to follow.

"My thanks." She said before moving along. The men on the trip have at least seen feline Cooanei villages near the Conguran border, but the architecture was distinctly different for a race more apt to flying and as Eilan said open-aired. Terith himself checked the man on the support between two men and sighed in relief as the steady pulse of his heart was felt. As they entered the ht, Terith among a few others looked about the hut curiously, their weapons and armour finally cooling off and darkening out.

Assuming Terith had gone with the Elder and Feraligus to the main hut, they would be greeted by a wide, spacious interior, with the door being only hanging drapes of woven cloth. The top of the hut cinched into a sort of bottle-neck, but left an opening through which the smoke of the bonfire could escape. The bonfire being centered in a fire pit in the very middle, dug at least five feet into the ground with a bedding of driftwood embers.

Scattered around the hut were a few comfortable looking cots, consisting of a large oval basket in which leaves and grass were placed, and a soft blanket over that. Most were empty, but a few held injured, likely people so sick or wounded that the Elder preferred to keep an eye on them herself. Figuratively speaking.

Feraligus had led the Elder over to the bonfire, and into a comfortable looking chair - Fashioned just like the cots, but made to be sitting, not laying down. Hers was no different from the others with the exception that it was a bit shorter to accommodate her short, arthritic stature. She will have motioned for the others to sit around the bonfire once she, herself, was seated.

"You vill give us yourr tay-eel, and we vill giefe you yourr infay-mous tay-eel." Feraligus would be the one to translate this time, unfortunately, after the Elder spoke. Hopefully his dreaded accent wouldn't be a problem for translations, since Eilan had gone to Turilan's hut to have the paralytic poison abolished.

Speaking of this, Eilan and the other injured were likely laid outside of the hut rather than inside it - The hut its self was small, and cluttered. But blankets had been laid outside which showed that medical visits to his hut happened often. He was quick to gather the ingredients, though an obvious air of biasism led Turilan to tend to Eilan's meager wounds before even glancing at the Conguran casualties. Eilan was less than pleased, but with nearly a full-body paralytic poison in her system, she couldn't very well slap his hand away as he mixed up the reagents with a mortar and pestle.

"Turilan.." Eilan spoke softly, winged ears folding back in an irritated manner, as did her expression show as she watched him, "If you aren't going to help the more injured first, at least hurry up and cure me, so I can do it."

"Honestly, Eilan." Turilan responded, his voice turning out to be quite rich and less effeminate than his appearance, "You left the village to live with mother, up North. I would imagine you would be in as less of a rush to help them as I am." He responded, sending a faint glare over to the Conguran injured, "They helped once. Does that excuse them from what they're doing up there? I can stand to let them squirm for a few more minutes."

Terith spied upon the large central hut, wondering idly to how large the flames got for a single night when it was colder. Truthfully, the air hadn't been; but he was speaking with a body built for the north. The cots themselves looked comfortable, ranging for most sizes of people. The diagnostics ran through his mind as he eyed one or two-most have simply long term issues, but one or two were sharp cases of illness.

Terith nodded once again more respectively as the woman was helped to sit down, looking to see to the wounded of the battle once more. He declined respectfully the offer to sit, but the rest of the soldiers still standing and Xeria sat down around the fire pit.

"Revered Elder, we do not understand what you mean by this infamous tale, but we shall speak." Xeria began, sitting cross legged. "Our cultures are certainly different, but we seek to learn and trade perhaps with neighbors that we since have found....mystic in our own sense." Pausing as if to find the correct word. "We only live for about a hundred years, but it is usually shorter still. So what you may have for information may be based on the few tales of the east or southern countries not of our own Empire. If you may, I would like to hear what you know of us."

Terith didn't trust the Coonei as far as he could throw him from the presence he felt of the man, but he did step forth after a quick visual examination of people inside the hut.

"I pardon for interruption revered elder," Terith spoke straight forward without his usual accent, hopefully suppressed. "But may I look over some of these? Or people has devised ways to ease the illness or cure it in the weeks ahead."

Very high, as he'd have found out, had he asked. Usually magically-maintained flames, as it would otherwise waste wood, but.. Details.

As Xeria explained their intentions here, Feraligus translated - It was clear he had trouble at some parts, but eventually the message got across to the Elder. She had nodded slowly, then, and shortly after began to explain the 'Infamous Tale' Feraligus had mentioned.

Feraligus explained for her how the Conguran people were more or less hated down south, here. He explained how they had usually excellent contact with the Cooaneian villages up North, and how they usually had nothing but bad to say about the Conguran people - A few good notes, as well, though that was mainly on their trading and bartering capabilities, and this case was one in which the bad overshadowed the good. Feraligus went on to explain that the Conguran people grow too fast, and expand territory too quickly - They steal land from other races, poison the ground with pollution and machines, and worst of all, treat magic as it should never be treated.

Toward the end of the explanation, Feraligus appeared quite heated in his words. Some parts of that might've been his own emotions playing into it, especially when he remarked, "And now you come to ourr land, rready to steal eet frrom undeer ourr noses, starrt with a village, grow into a city--"

Of course, he was met with a walking stick to the face. A moment given to recover, and he would seethe quietly, tail bristled as it flicked dangerously back and forth behind him.

In regards to Terith, he had been given a faint wave of the hand from the Elder, allowing him to check the patients as they pleased. He wouldn't find much - There were only five people present, which was a good thing. One canine child with a broken arm, which also bore lanced boils over the skin where, no doubt, he'd run into a Phosynthian prior to their being dispatched - The boils did have ointment on them. Pungent in odor, but it appeared to help the sleeping child.

The next was also a child. A small Feline girl, no older than five. High with fever and small red bumps along the back of her tongue and throat, as well as fur missing from her ears and tail, as if like mange.

The other three were adults - Two Canine, one Feline. All seemed more ill than injured, though the Feline male seemed well enough to sit up and watch Terith carefully, as if suspiciously.

Terith gave a small wave, keeping a polite distance and offering a calm face with a smile. He made sure to have his mask and hat off at this point, revealing his short messy hair and glasses. He looked to the small canine child for a moment for more of a focus, looking to the condition of it; looking frankly worried all the same.

Xeria herself felt herself acknowledge the words were spoken. Truthfully, the first decades of the machines had certainly done damage around the cities themselves. But since when was there a need to control any population that simply wished to prosper? she thought.

"While it does see our gracious translator does speak his own words into the speech, it is simply how we have survived. We are not a strong race by any means, and with it have harnessed our knowledge of stone, metal, and wood to have us survive our harsh homeland. The GolDrake Clans of the East seek to demolish what we build for overall prosperity, and to the south we are now trying to abolish the machines of old that call for such desecrating results. You say it populates too fast-if it were so, then there would be more means of civilian tools then ones for war. We climb as any race wishes to press to see what the sky's limit is.

We do not wish to steal the land, nor form into the grand cities of the central and eastern provinces. Our goals are similar to those in Tranzek, who initiated this project. Like with the Hontha, we wish to be...."
She paused, stopping herself from using a word. "Two cultures together, using the strengths of both. If our presence is such an aberration to your kind, why are we not allowed to prove ourselves to people we meet, rather then reports of us?" She knelt her head. "It is what this humble commander has to say, in all fairness to those who joined this expedition."

The man who's wound in the chest now seems to be rasping, then coughs loudly for half a minute. His skin seems slightly clammy, even in the warm of the cot. One of the two soldiers to stay by the cot to watch them look worried, the other leaning over him and checking his vitals.

After several moments and a few trip-ups, through grit teeth, Feraligus translated all of this to the Elder. One could likely tell he wasn't feeding her lies, too, as he was hating what he was translating. It was after these several moments that the Elder woman lifted her hand into the air, speaking aloud (though what we see next is, of course, Feraligus translating),

"I haffe no rrreason to belieffe you overre my ow-ehnn people. Howeverr, if I did not giefe yourr people a chaunce within this lands, I would not be worrthy of the title of 'Wisse Elder'." She pauses there, interrupting herself with a ragged, congested cough, which is soon cleared for her to continue, "Just know that eef you bee-gin to taint this lands against ourr teachings, we vill not forgiffe you. Howeverr we vill try to teach you - I cannot speak for the other villages. You must visit them for yourrselffes."

At this point, Eilan was healed. She was alert to the condition of the others, as well - And upon spying what looked like a decline in condition, she grit her teeth softly, and looked back to Turilan, "--Turilan!" She snapped, obviously upset at what he's doing. It just wasn't right.

Like a child being scolded by his mother, he gave a sharp grunt, snatching up the bag of reagents and stepping over Eilan to the man with the chest wound. He wasn't about to ask the soldiers watching over the wounded group to stand back, he'd have just pulled them away without warning before dropping down to one knee. His movements were angry as he pulled open the bag, retrieving a clump of yellow-ish green grass tied together with string.

Assuming there were no problems thus far, like with the soldiers taking offense to being shoved away from their comrade, he would hold the grass over the man's wound, beginning to shake it whilst moving it back and forth, and in circles, muttering a quiet, irritated healing chant to himself. The first step to the wound would be soothing, and the second was healing - The process would be relatively slow, to ensure nothing would heal 'wrong', but it was still much faster than manual healing by far.

Eilan, recovered from the poison and healed up, was up and moving toward the other injured, stooping down by the soldier with the pierced side from the thorns. She wasn't adept at healing - But she could at least soothe the pain until Turilan got to them.

"My gracious thanks revered elder, we shall try to adapt and learn from your teachings." Xeria said with a small breath of relief. "That said, Eilan as been of much help in travels already and might prove to be an apt assistant for this endeavor. Will you allow us to stay until our men have recovered? For otherwise I do not think we will endure well with any new threats ahead."

Terith now left towards were the injured had been taken, watching as the two men were being treated. One of them balled her hand into a fist, but the reason they were chosen for this mission was their tolerance and their skill. They stepped back and went to go check on the one Eilan was healing, looking interested and less worried as they watched.

Another brief wave of the Elder's hand, and she'd have nodded - No words came from her, as she seemed to slump a bit into her seat, as if falling asleep.. But Feraligus gave one last warning along with the Elder's acceptance of this.

"She hass sai-eed you may stay herre unteel you rrecoverre. But do not talk to the veellagers - You veel scarre them. You veel be brrought food."

With that, of course, Feraligus walked around the bonfire to leave the hut - The Elder was already meditating, or asleep. It was hard to tell from her posture.

Turilan finally was beginning to finish up the chest wound after seveal minutes of this continuous healing - And as the injured would find, the wound was not only healed, but it wasn't even sore. As much as Turilan probably would have wanted it to remain sore, the magic was pure, and unbridled - Natural, too. He would cut his chanting abruptly once the wound had indeed finished, tucking the grass back into the reagent bag, standing and moving to someone else who was injured without a word.

Eilan moved aside - The one he'd chosen was the one she had been busy soothing. She stood, looking over at Terith as he approached. Eilan appeared both worried and relieved, moving over to Terith when he reached the group. She'd catch him by a hand upon his shoulder, and lean over to whisper softly to him.

"It would be best if you didn't get involved right now while Turilan is healing. He might.. Snap at you. I don't know why, but he's become so aggressive since I last saw him.."

"It shall be as you say, but is it someone you are familiar with?" Terith spoke back, looking a bit puzzled. He did remove himself when the man came over, then looked frankly puzzled as he watched this magic work. "It..looks similar, but it's a different shade and color." Terith murmured, quite intrigued with the whole thing.

Xeria nodded, then looked into the bed of coals and fire as one of the soldiers came close-waiting for Feralgius to leave. "Do we wish to keep a night watch? Our friend here doesn't seem all that fond of us." She shook her head. "We will sleep. I have not met a Cooanei who directly disobeys the elders once they have spoke. And if it starts now, it is they who have received the bad reputation. But for now, let's rest; I would have liked to at least talked to one or two though." She rubbed her forehead as the soldier nodded and sat down and opened a pack, looking for something to do.
